I have always been sceptical about hiring people to design and execute the interiors of my home. In the past have been doing all that by myself. Recently Homework Design Studio was suggested to me for a small renovation project in the house. I think in hiring them I made the best decision ever. The best part about them is that they try and understand exactly who you are and what you want and design precisely as per that. For me that is important because my home has to be a reflection of me. The designing aspwct aside, the execution is excellent. I will not lie and say we did not have hiccups but no stones were left unturned to rectify even if it meant the whole thing was to be made again. Timelines were maintained. The staff is extremely courteous and always on time. The quality of work top notch. Cost wise, yes they are expensive but at the end of the day it was all worth it. The end result speaks for itself self. Highly recommended.

We first met Shagun in December 2022 to assess the possibilities for a partial renovation of our home. But after an initial discussion, we decided to commission a full apartment remodeling and renovation. This was a leap of faith, and the result is something we are very pleased with as it has substantially changed our apartment to meet our needs. What must be mentioned at the outset is that as NRI’s we entrusted Shagun with the entire project with minimal intervention. Yes, we did visit from time to time, but the delegation was more than a normal project. Shagun and team stand out for a couple of things. First is the sincerity of purpose. The entire team, of Shagun, Neha, Govind and many others can be relied on to get the job done, and they are easily available to discuss and act. Second, is that we were able to get a good agreement on design ideas that met our needs and preferences. We were clear on our design intentions and objectives, and she executed the project to convert a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom plus new spaces. Again, this was a leap of faith and they delivered. The truly helpful aspect was the Shagun’s commitment to total end to end project delivery from design, civil works, electricals, furniture renovation, vendors for soft furnishings and more. This was a particularly helpful aspect as we could rely on Shagun and team for getting the entire job completed without relying on different people for different things. They have their own carpenters, electricians, cleaners etc. on their payroll which means this team is engaged in the project in a more committed manner. Having a project manager in Govind was also a very good feature as he was the point person for all the work. The team also helped with getting external vendors where necessary which was helpful. Trust and reliability are two features that make this team truly noteworthy. The project was somewhat longer than expected, so that was one aspect which is always a challenge in extensive renovations. Ideally it is better for clients to be available for more regular interactions so that Shagun can understand more nuanced needs vs our delegated model. As someone who has used designers/contractors before, this is a team I would recommend.
