The Unique Story

I had an incredible experience working with Subhalakshmi from The Unique Story for my Home interior design project. Since our Home was very close to The Unique Story office communication was right from beginning of construction work which helped ease and hassle free. Subhalakshmi's creativity, attention to detail, and ability to bring my vision to life exceeded my expectations. Every element she chose was not only aesthetically stunning but also functional, The welcoming Sofas design , cool lighting fixtures, kitchen design, paint colours and wall paper all were detailed and perfect making my space feel both luxurious and inviting . we are grateful to Janani the Project Lead worked seamlessly through the entire project. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and insightful advice made the journey effortless and enjoyable. She ensured everything was executed smoothly and kept me well-informed at every step. A special thanks to Amit Agarwal , who guided me choices of Dining Set, bathroom & kitchen faucets , Air condition vendors and Home Automation vendors. My favourite thing about this company is definitely their distinct modern style. It feels very current & trendy and looking forward to work again with new projects. Kudos team :)

After researching several interior designers, I selected The Unique Story because their aesthetic aligned with my vision and they fit our budget well. Since I live in the US and managed my mom’s house renovation in Bangalore remotely, reliability and clear communication were especially important to me. Shubu, the main designer, did a great job understanding our needs, and the 3D designs were well thought out. The material quality and overall execution were excellent, including new electrical boards and full-house rewiring, along with painting across the house. Although the renovation timeline extended beyond expectations, the final outcome was a thoughtfully designed, functional, and aesthetically pleasing home, and my family truly enjoys living in it now. However, from a customer satisfaction perspective, there were a few challenges. When the initially assigned designer left midway through the project, a communication gap arose and some early design details were missed. The final phase felt slightly rushed, and after handover there were unresolved functional issues, including a bathroom geyser not working due to an electrical point issue, a clogged drain, and a plumbing leak. As the team manages multiple projects, post-handover support was delayed, and the electrician or vendor from their side was unavailable for over two weeks. As a result, my family had to arrange external services and follow up multiple times, which was disappointing after a full house renovation. Additionally, a few kitchen items were sourced later than planned and went out of stock. While the alternatives suggested were good, they were priced higher than expected, which led to some unplanned costs toward the end. Overall, The Unique Story delivers very good design sensibility and consistent execution, resulting in a well-finished home. Strengthening the handover process and improving post-completion support would further enhance the overall experience. Pros: 1. Transparent pricing 2. Strong design understanding by Shubu with good 3D revamp concepts 3. Excellent material quality and well-executed carpentry and painting work. Cons/Areas for Improvement: 1. Communication gaps due to mid-project designer change 2. Improving post-handover coordination and material planning would help ensure faster issue resolution and avoid stock shortages or higher-priced alternatives. 3. Having backup vendors for urgent fixes and more responsive post-handover support would improve the overall experience.

Janani and her colleague handled our requirement under the guidance of Shubhalaxmi. The overall experience was great, we loved the final output and they were accommodating in terms of revisions until we were happy. The only critical feedback was that some spaces were inaequate for standard storage items. Highly recommend them for an aesthetic interior of your style.

My husband and I contacted the unique story while we were still living abroad and were planning to shift our base to Bangalore. The designer understood our requirements, taste and choices. Communication was good with the team that was assigned to us. They are doing a significant job by bringing someone's dream home imagination to fruition. Along with the beautiful interior designs, all the lights and furnitures chosen by us keeping Shubhalaxmi in the loop made our house look even more stunning. We were not at all happy with the carpentry work.

The Unique Story did an exceptional job of designing the interiors of our villa. Their creative and structured approach helped them understand our requirements and develop multiple design concepts. They completed the project on time and provided excellent post-installation support. We highly recommend Unique Story to anyone looking for interiors with unique concepts that stand out.
