Very bad experience with the architect and their poor quality workmanship. Only plumbing and electrical work was done well but the carpenter work which includes doors and windows and cabinets were done with very pathetic quality. The drawers are getting stuck. The tile laying was a disaster and the attitude of threatening to quit the work mid way was very disturbing. I had to just keep quiet till the doors and windows were fixed because most of the money was paid in advance and only bare minimum was pending which he played up.. please be careful with these guys

It is with great satisfaction and a lot of appreciation that I am posting this note, recommending architect Suman and her firm SJ Architects & Interiors, Bengaluru, to you. Mrs. Suman is known to me for the past couple of years since my wife and I had entrusted the renovation work of our house to her. Our small house was built almost 20 years ago, but SJ Architects & Interiors came up with a plan and executed it so well so much so that it now looks quite contemporary and modern. Suman is an epitome of perfection and she has all the patience in this world to achieve that. Her design skills and creativity are amply exemplified in the alterations and interior work she has done in my house. We had given her a free hand and she was fully hands-on – from selecting the tiles to bathroom fittings to finalizing the colours for painting! She has paid attention to detail while selecting the furniture and curtains, all of which she got done at the best place possible. As my wife and I were away from Bengaluru while the project was being executed, Suman had taken up the full responsibility of doing it. Here, I should commend the key role played by SJ Architect’s on-site engineer Rajesh, who worked in tandem with his team of skilled workers, with great enthusiasm and creativity. There were several challenges in between, mainly due to the pandemic, but both Suman and Rajesh demonstrated their problem-solving skills effectively and managed to complete the project without much delay. I would say, Suman’s greatest virtue is her patience. Like I mentioned earlier, she is extremely detail oriented and always gave us options to choose from, mentioning the merits and demerits of each of them. However, there were instances when my wife had different ideas, but Suman was always willing to consider them and incorporate them into the scheme of things, provided it gelled with her aesthetic ideas. And she was quite forthright to disagree when it was not possible to adopt. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to engage SJ Architects & Interiors for our house renovation work. We had three key requirements. A) Functional and durable B) Neat and Simple look and C) Time constraint or Delivery time. SJ team worked towards our requirements. We are happy with the output. We have lot of space to move around, wood work is clean and of good quality. We don't think we compromised anything in our scope of work. The house lit up with use of beautiful cotton curtains and simple false ceiling lights. We trusted Suman, Rajesh, Nimayshika, Sajan and we are glad we did. They handled our end to end project.

We were first ambiguous to get their services for our home. But on the first interaction, they were able to understand our needs n us.. which made us confident to let them recreate our home. We are very happy n satisfied with their work. They have become a family friend to us now. It was lovely to have met such young mind and beautiful personality. Good Luck SJ!
